Skipping Stones Sketch

Welcome back for another Skipping Stones Design Tuesday Sketch challenge! Today I used both Heartfelt 1 and 2 to create my card.

I stamped the bird image in ColorBox Truffle Mix'd Media Inx and then embossed it in clear EP. To keep the center white when I inked it up with the Distress Inks, I added a layer of Smooch Illuminate. It gives it a coating which will resist the ink and also add a bit of shimmer. When it was dry I inked up the image with Broken China, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. Adhere the image to your card.

To create the branch, I cut a strip of cardstock somewhat in the bend/shape of the branch, damped it with water and rolled/distress it. When it was dry, I glued it to the card. I hand cut leaves and glued them on to the branches.

Tip: Use your Scor-Buddy to partially score the leaves. This will make it easier to shape the tiny leaves.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamps- anything goes
Marks Finest- make a square card
