This weeks Rubbernecker challenge is RBC09 Circles. The challenge was to use circles anywhere or anyhow on your card. There were so many options with this, but I decided to make a circular opening on the cardfront.
Its a bit hard to tell from the photo, but the green layer of cardstock and the pattern paper are each lifted up on a piece of fun foam for dimension. I like using the fun foam for a large area like this that needs to be 3D. It adds a bit more stability than the pop dots, but it also adds a bit more weight to the card.
This pattern paper is by Fancy Pants and I just LOVE it! It just screams summertime to me. I ended up using it as the inspiration for this card, matching the colors with the paper pieced hippos, flowers and quote.
supplies used:
stamp: Rubbernecker (Stamp Oasis Hippo Hearts)
paper: Bazzill, Prism
pp: Fancy Pants, Karen Foster
flowers: Primas, silk flowers
font: Ecolier
other: Michaels dew drops, Cuttlebug Babyface
