I know I've said that I dislike playing with paints because of the mess, but sometimes messy can be fun. For this layout, I grabbed a large sheet of watercolor paper, clear embossed the title and started spraying on the Glimmer Mist, water and watercolors. There were no rules. When I wanted it to be a bit muted, I would spray on some water. Splatter a bit of watercolors here and there for a pop of color. A baby wipe was used to remove color. By the end of it my hands were a mess, but I love the result.
The image of lighthouse is actually one from a photo that I took that day. Using the photo as a reference I hand sketched the lighthouse. Highlights were added with a white gel pen.
