I didn't make it to the first round of the PC Gallery Idol, but I have some new cards that I love. And that means I also have new blog material for the next few days. :)
This card uses a moon that I hand sketched and colored in with chalks. The inspiration for the moon was actually from a dingbat font. I used to keep a sketch book years ago. I was definitely not an artist, but I enjoyed sitting down and creating pen drawings. Somewhere along the way life got busy and I stopped drawing. I've found myself picking up the pen more and more recently and creating drawings to use in my cards and layouts.
The star was cut from the Cuttlebug Babyface font. I scored the star 5 times from the points to the mid section and then simply folded it to create a 3-D star. Super simple and kinda cute!
supplies used:
pattern paper: Scenic Route
chipboard: Bazzill star
die cut: Cuttlebug babyface
stickers: Heidi Swapp and Amerian Crafts
other: chalk, pen, thread
