closer to becoming a habit...

I fell in love with these cute robot stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs during their release last month, but set a goal for myself to achieve before purchasing them. My goal, in the hopes of making it a habit, was to get on the treadmill everyday for a week straight. Sounds simple enough but actually doing it everyday was difficult for me. I don't like to work out to begin with and I really don't like doing it on the weekends. These cuties now live in my stamp room and hopefully I'm closer to making exercise a habit in my life.

A cool tip...the Making Memories eyelet punch works pretty well for cutting the round edges on the medium sprocket. Of course I didn't figure that out until the last sprocket that I was cutting out, lol!

supplies used:
stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs Gizmos and Gears
pattern paper: Basic Grey
cardstock: DCWV
brad: SEI
other: paper glaze

This next card was done for this weeks card sketch challenge on the LAD forums. Instead of the two strips in the center of the card, I substituted them for an image. The theme was week was Christmas. Since I don't have any LAD Christmas stamps yet, I had to improvise a bit. The wreath was created with the scroll from the Jolies Fleurs stamp set. I sketched a circle in pencil and then went around the circle with the scroll. I added highlights with white and gold gel pens and also added some Stickles.

supplies used:
stamp: Lizzie Anne Designs Jolies Fleurs, Westwaters Enterprises (greeting)
paper: 7gypsies
other: Swiss dots folder, ribbon, gel pens, Stickles
