swing high in the sky...

You don't want to know how long I struggled with trying to photograph this layout. Inside, outside, natural light....just wasn't working for me. The vines actually continue off the page, but I just couldn't crop it in photoshop nicely to include them. Gotta remember to pick up a plate holder for layouts like this. Anyway, I used this weeks Lizzie Anne Designs challenge as a starting point. The inspiration was a really cool green, white and black striped top.

I used one of the small paisleys in the Jolies Fleurs set to create leaves for the vines with. I stamped them on green paper, darkened the centers with green watercolors, added some white highlights with a gel pen and cut them out. The flowers are made from covering an older pattern paper with wrinkled tissue paper, stamping the flower image and cutting them out. Marvy liquid applique and a touch of Stickles was added to create the puffy sparkly center.

The letters came from Target and were originally a yellowish green. I painted them to match, stamped the scroll randomly on them and coated them with Stickles.
I used a sheet of Making Memories shaped paper as a template on the Creative Imaginations script paper. I traced out a border and then added a wash of green watercolor. A bit of Stickles to the edge finishes it off.

supplies used: Lizzie Anne Designs Jolies Fleurs stamps, Creative Imaginations pattern paper, Making Memories pattern paper (template), Stickles, Marvy liquid applique, embroidery floss, Cuttlebug Babyface, Target chipboard letters, paint, tissue paper
