I came across a challenge at Leigh O'Brien's blog
Sunflower Studio . It is a series of Halloween challenges called Frightfully Delightful Freaky Friday Challenges. I love Halloween. In fact its probably one of my favorite holidays, but I rarely make cards for it. So when I saw this challenge I had to give it a go. This weeks challenge was to use a NON-Halloween stamp to create a Halloween card. I used a damask stamp that I found in the $1 stamp bin at Michaels to create the background paper. The bats were cut free hand using a dingbat as a template. The fancy border is actually part of the waste strip from cutting the scallop strips from the Babyface die cuts. I then went back and added all those paper dots. A bit tedious, but I love the effect.
Here is a closeup of the custom border and bats.
Thats it for today. Have a great Monday!

This is terrific! I love the bats, the border, the stamp, the colors, the sentiment! It's my kinda card...way to go. Hope you'll keep playing along...I've changed up the prize details a tad but the 8 gals who made a card for the first week are in the running for a separate prize if you keep going.
Oh Wendy, so cool! ---teri
That is so cool!
This is so cool, Wendy!
I just love your work. Always eye-candy! This card is so fab though, and I'm lovin' that damask stamp (must find that one), and the riddle!
