I am off in a bit to take the boys roller skating! YAY! I loved rollerskating as a kid. There really wasn't much to do where we lived, we were too far from the malls and stores, so my pals and I would roller skate for hours. And if it was raining, no problem. We would head down to friends basement, turn on Billy Joel's Glass House and pretend we were skating at the rink. fun memories!!!

what did the pink panther say when he stepped on an ant?
..dead ant, dead ant, dead ant, dead ant....
Ok, so its kinda silly but then so is this card. And for some reason that song kept going through my head as I made this. While I was browsing the Internet looking for some good "gratitude" quotes to use in cards, I came across this quote and it just made me laugh. I thought how cute would one of those smileys from the Today Forecast (Molly Stamps) be made into a grinning ant. Doesn't he just look like he got caught sneaking a cookie from the jar or perhaps some crumbs from the picnic basket, lol!
I used the big grinning smiley for the face. I stamped a hair spray lid twice to create the circles for the abdomen. I colored in all the body parts with watercolors and while they were still damp, shaped them, mounting them on pop dots. After gluing them down, I added a few legs and antenna.
