everyday cards....

Where did the weekend go?! We could all use another day or two of relaxing here in this house. Today I'm sharing two more cards from the Something to Crow About (Sept Lizzie Anne Monthly Mix). The cool thing about the Monthly Mix is there is such a great mix of images in each set. At first glance, I saw lots of great fall images in the set, but there are also a ton of great "everyday" type stamps in there too. Check it out...

I stamped the parenthesis twice in Versamark on teal cardstock and embossed it in white. Next I created a cardbase where the front was short about 2.5 inches and added a piece of transparency on the inside. A cute ribbon, rubon letters and my stamped parenthesis...cute, simple card!

supplies used:
stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs (Something to Crow About)
texture: Swiss Dots
rubons: American Crafts
ribbon: American Crafts

Loved that kraft cardstock, teal and white so I decided to use it again on another card. I stamped the stars randomly in Versamark and embossed them with white EP. The teal centers are simply dots from an office hole punch that I glued down. I embossed a wooden star button with white EP. Added a strip of Bazzill deco edging, twine and the button.

Have a great Monday!

Your cards are totally adorable, I love the transparency on the first one card. The teal and white look awesome on your second card with the kraft paper. I love using kraft cardstock, it is one of my favorites too. Hope you have a great week!

Awesome cards, Wendy! I LOVE how you used the transparency on the first one, and the reverse embossed dots. And the second one is fab, too! Great use of the kraft cardstock!
