more Monthly Mix...

I thought I'd share some more of Septembers Monthly Mix (Something To Crow About) by Lizzie Anne before I ink up the new October rubber. Last time I mentioned just how versatile the set is and here are two more examples of that.
I love creating background paper with my stamps, so I thought how fun would it be to create a striped background with the scallop stamp! The "hi" sentiment is also from the Sept. Mix.

supplies used:
stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs (Something to Crow About)
diecut: Cricut

This next card has a much more fall/country feel to it. And yes, I'm back to the kraft cardstock. I just can't seem to keep my hands off it, LOL! The thin strip of patterned yellow paper is actually from the top of the tree in the Sept mix. The rooster was paper pieced with tiny scraps of pattern paper.

pattern paper: Scenic Route, scraps
buttons, twine: craft supply

I really should try to use my stamps for backgrounds! I just don't know how to go about it mostly! Nice job!
