Stampendous Saturday Blog Candy

Good morning everyone and welcome back for another Stampendous Saturday! Before we get onto this weeks project and blog candy its time to pull a winner for last week's Stampendous Santa stamp.... Tenia Nelson! Congratulations! Shoot me an email, Tenia with your address so Stampendous can get your stamp off in the mail to you!

And now onto to today's card! This card features another new Stampendous Jumbo... Rosehips. I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored it in with watercolor pencils.

fun technique: To create that distressed grid pattern behind the image, I cut off a strip of drywall tape. If you still have Magic Mesh in your stash that will work perfectly too. Lay the drywall mesh down over the image. Using your blending tool, ink over the mesh. Pull off the mesh and you are left with a pretty distressed grid pattern. Continue through out the entire paper, placing it randomly and inking. You could create a mask for the flowers if you wanted to avoid the grid pattern from covering them but I was just careful to lighten up on the inking near the edges of the image.

Supplies Used: Stampendous  Jumbo Rosehips, Derwent Inktense pencils, Bazzill cardstock, Creative Impressions bling, Distress Ink, dry wall mesh

BEAUTIFUL coloring job! I really like that it's not colored with bold colors- the muted tones work wonderfully with the image! Fun pearl accents too. :)
