Stampendous Saturday Blog Candy

Good morning and welcome back for another Stampendous Saturday! Before I get started on today's post, let me pick last week's winner of the Cling Batty Owls. The winner is....Lori Barnett! Email me (wendyp81@gmail.com) your mailing info.

What do you get when you mix paper clay, stamps and old tins heading for the recycling bin? Fun, altered art!

This would be a great project to do with the kids on a rainy day. This paper clay isn't water safe though, so I would not recommend using it to hold water. Those are fake flowers ;) It would be great for storing pens/pencils in.

Supplies Used:

I
nstructions:

  1. Roll out clay and cover container in thin sheets of it.
  2. Place stamp down on table and roll clay onto the rubber stamp to impress image in clay.
  3. Allow to dry overnight.
  4. Paint with acrylic paints.
  5. Coat with varnish/gloss.
  6. Add a wash of color to the vase. Wipe off extra paint.
  7. Add another coat of varnish/gloss to the vase.

Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win Stampendous Jumbo Romantic Border used in this project. You have until next Saturday when I'll draw a winner and announce the next and last blog Stampendous blog candy giveaway.

And for even more Stampendous blog candy, stop by these blogs: Pam Hornschu, Wendy Jordan, Cyndi Bundy, Taylor Usry, and Lynn Mercurio

That worked really well with the paper clay. At first I thought you'd covered it in polyclay. Gorgeous colors and perfect images for this.
