a pop of color...

Its time for Stampotique's Challenge! This month's challenge is Black and White with a pop of color! I worked with this adorable image from Maryse Carrier...Hello.

Supplies Used:
  • Stampotique ( Bla Bla Bla and Hello!)
  • Stampendous embossing powders
  • Distress Inks
  • Derwent Inktense pencils
  • Tsukineko Sheer Shimmers

I stamped the image 4 times on white cardstock. Colored them in with watercolors, cut out multiple parts of the image and layered them with foam adhesive to create the 3D effect with the image.

To create the background, I stamped the "bla bla bla" sentiment on the background in Versamark. Next I used 3 shades of Stampendous embossing powder to create the varigated color effect. After embossing, I added Black Soot Distress Ink to the background. I spritzed it with water to create the cool water drop effect. To finish it off I splattered a bit of white acrylic paint and spritzed it with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmers.
