Dream-pendous Blog Hop

Get ready to be inked, pasted, encrusted, stenciled and stamped! All of this week the Dreamweaver Stencils' Dream Team and the Stampendous Design Teams will be providing some "Dream-pendous" inspiration for you, with multiple opportunities to win some fabulous prizes from both companies. Each day this week, you will be directed from both the Stampendous Impressions' blog or the Dream It Up! blog to the players du jour for your oohing and aaahing pleasure. Everyone will be playing on Saturday, the 14th with our final hop for the week. This is your opportunity to see how to mix and mingle your creativity...if you are a stenciler, you will be fascinated at combining stamps with your first love. If you are a stamper, you will be wowed at how stencils can add to your impressions.

Many of you know how much my son loves fishing, so when I opened up the package and saw this fabulous stencil I squealed with joy. I had the opportunity to work with "Under the Sea" LG679. I decided I wanted to emboss a background scene with the stencil. The Dreamweavers stencils emboss beautifully through the cuttlebug/other machines, but in order to have the design on the 12 x 12 cardstock, I had to pull out the light box and embossing tools. To create some of the longer kelp plants, I simply moved the stencil and continued the design. My son had fun learning how to use the embossing tools and light box.

Next I added some color with chalks and distress inks. To finish off the scene, I added Stampendous Glitter, Color Fragments and Mica Fragments.

Stampendous  Cling Mermaid went perfectly with the embossed background. I gave her a bit of Stampendous Mica Fragments  and pearls for hair decoration.

Be sure to leave comments as you tour the blogs (with your email addy!) for a chance to win one of these sets:
