Just BEE-cause

Welcome back for another Skipping Stones Design Challenge! I choose to work with Whispering Wings

I cut multiple hexagons out to create the beehive effect. A few of them are mounted on foam adhesive.

I colored the bee in with copics and gave him a bit of glitzy glitter on his wings. There was no way I wanted to cut out the antenna or legs, so I cut thin strips of black cardstock and adhered them on the back of the bee.

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

And here is the inspiration piece that we are working with this week. I love these colors, but I had the hardest time working with them.

Ready to check out what the Skipping Stones Design Team has created this week?

Just a reminder: Skipping Stones Design has a Design Team Call going on!

To be considered for our team, please submit 3 cards or projects (layouts, home décor, gifts) that you feel best represent your style.  You do not have to use Skipping Stones Stamps in your application, but if you happen to own a set or two or several, please use them and show us what you can do with our awesome stamps.  One of the cards you submit should be based on one of our sketches- let us know which one.  You can find older sketches on our blog.Attach photos of the cards/project (no larger than 300kb each) along with the following information in an email:
  • •Your name
  • •A link to your blog and other online galleries of your work
  • •A little bit about yourself
  • •Why do you want to work with Skipping Stones Design?
  • •What is your favorite Skipping Stones stamp set and why?
  • •Crafty accomplishments, past and upcoming publications- not required, but if you are accomplished, by all means, let us know.

Send your photos and information in an email to skippingstonesdt@gmail.com.  You can also send any questions you have regarding the call to the same email. We will make every effort to respond to questions within 24 hours.

The deadline to apply is Friday, July 27, 2012.  If you are selected for the team, you will be contacted by Sunday, August 5, 2012.  Good luck!
