Stampendous Handmade Week Hop

As we wrap up Stampendous Handmade Week, I hope you found inspiration to get a jump start on those holiday handmade gifts! Today I'm sharing a bangle that would be fun for those teens in your life.

Doesn't that look just like lace. Nope, its one of Stampendous latest background stamps, Lacey Background CRR147.

Supplies Used:
Stampendous Halo Glitter
Ranger Archival Ink
acrylic paint
ribbon
antiquing medium
bread dough clay

Instructions:
1. Paint the outside bangle with pink acrylic paint. Stamp with lace design.
2. Antique inside of the bangle.
3. Wrap bangle with ribbons.
4. Create roses out of bread dough clay. Allow to dry. Coat with glitter. Adhere to bangle.

Ever want to know how to make clay roses using supplies you can find in your kitchen? The rose on the bangle is created with just corn starch and glue. Here's a video I created showing you how...

Parenting Tidbit : want to keep your kids entertained and sneak in a bit of science too. Mix up some cornstarch and water!

When friction is added it acts as a solid, but when untouched it acts as a liquid. You can more info on the science behind this fun suspension at Steve Spanglers Science site.

There's lots more inspiration from our Design Team awaiting you!  Please visit all the blogs below and comment. We'll be choosing random bloggers to choose random comments for the prizes...so the more comments the better your chance!

AND don't forget our Saturday Challenge continues - We're sharing embossing techniques all month! Here's what we've been working on (most recent inspiration first):

You can link your creations here until Thursday, October 4th -

I'll be back to check out the video as I'd love to make roses, but I just can't add clay to my crafting at this point. The bangle is wonderful!

Fabulous! I would have definitely said that was lace spread across the bracelet! And my son LOVES Gak- very similar to the cornstarch/water "toy." :)

Really fun bracelet. Great job on the stamping. I probably would have smeared the stamp everywhere.

Oh my goodness, it looks like you stamped on tissue and placed it on the bangle. I was totally shocked to read that you stamped directly on the bangle. Another fabulous job!!! I hope your doing well Wendy!

That is such a cool bracelet. And the rose from cornstarch is something I want to try. Didn't know you could do that! The button idea is great also. I love making my own embellishments~
