Welcome back! Its time for another Dreamweaver's Thursday Challenge! This month's theme is "Summertime, Sparklers, and S'more"! I pulled out the Lotus stencil and decided to create some summery pattern paper.
supplies used: Dreamweavers (Lotus, Translucent Paste, Paste Spreader), Distress Inks, Stampendous stamps, glitter
Using Distress Inks and a blending tool, I filled the white cardstock with a field of colorful stenciled lotus. Here's the part that made me a bit nervous. If it didn't work, I would be starting back at the beginning. I added a bit of Translucent Paste on the wide spreader and pulled it down over the entire piece leaving a thin coat of paste on the entire piece. Quickly, while it was still wet, I sprinkled on the clear glitter. I tapped off the extra and held my breathe waiting to see how it would dry.
It worked! In the past I would use a wet glue, trying to work quickly painting glue on the entire piece and adding the glitter before the glue dried. I had a much longer working time with the paste and applying it with the spreader was a breeze.
