Stampendous and Faber Castell Design Memory Craft Hop...

This week the Stampendous and Faber Castell Design Memory Craft design teams have teamed up to bring you tons of gorgeous projects!

I began by stamping the rose design in Versamark on watercolor paper and embossing it with white embossing powder.

Next I colored the design with a variety of Faber Castell mediums, Aquarelle watercolor pencils, Gelatos and PITT Pastel Pencils. I really just played and dabbled until I was happy with the color.

Next I added layers of stenciling using Clear Scraps Mascil and a the dot stencil from the Stampendous Wired stamp set.

I also added a bit of shading around the pattern paper and journaling bits with the Gelatos. I seriously need to invest in a few more sets of Gelatos. So much fun to use and so many cool ways to use them!

Supplies Used

3 Lucky Winners this week will get three sets of the PITT Pastel Pencils (red/yellow, blue/green, neutrals), a jar of Faber-Castell Chalkboard Paint, and $20 Stampendous reward card to choose their favorite images to color! WOW… these winners must have a U.S. mailing address (official rules here!)… BUT WAIT- Aussie Fans – The Stencil Specialist has you covered again this time!! One Australian Fan will win a Stampendous Stamp, a Dreamweaver Stencil (LJ size customer choice), and one Dreamweaver Stencils Regular Embossing Paste. Wow!!

This is spectacular!! LOVE the watercoloring and am VERY curious as to what the base is. Is it a clear glass plate or a piece of acrylic? Please let me know.
As soon as I saw it I thought of a large, clear serving plate that is in my basement just waiting to get loved and I am thinking this is the project for it!!!
TIAFYH and for sharing!

Love your white embossing and water colors. Your soft layers of colors are very beautiful. I like the way they contrast with the neutral colors you used for the framing of your black and white picture. Your little boy seems to be having a great time exploring and discovering and I love how you captured this moment. The feather is the perfect embellishment. Wonderful inspiration.

Hi Wendy. The work with the layers in the colourful background, combined with the black and white layers on top are a brilliant idea! So many yummy layers. And the boy reaching for the feather is ingenious! Love it.
