No Stress Distress

This week the Stampendous team is playing with Distress techniques. The new Andy Skinner Industrial stamps make Distress no stress with paint, rust and wood grain designs!

I created the butterfly by diecutting chipboard with the Lovely Garden Die Set, stamping it with Industrial (rust) in black StazOn, painting it with Deco Art Media Quinacridone Gold and giving it a wash of Ultra Matte Varnish and Paynes Grey mix. Be sure to check out Stampendous You Tube Channel for a fantastic video of Andy Skinner demonstrating this and other techniques!

Next I inked the cardbase with brown ink and stamped the wood grain stamp in Cloudy Sky StazOn. I gave it a coat of Ultra Matte Varnish and allowed to dry. Next I stenciled on Dreamweavers paste using the Corner Flowers stencil

Ready to check out what the team has whipped up...

Lovely use of the corner flower together with the rusted butterfly and background! They could fight each other but they go together beautifully.
