Your Next Stamp June Release....

I have had so much fun playing along with the Your Next Stamp team for the June release! For today's project I decided to create a nature theme travelers notebook spread using just the mushroom from the Oh Shiitake stamp set.

I masked the mushroom and stamped it repeatedly with Glacier dye ink. Next I colored the mushrooms in with the same ink watered down. I added a bit of splatters to the mushrooms.

Supplies Used: Your Next Stamp (Oh Shiitake stamp and die set), Crate paper Sunkissed pattern paper, Crate paper Sunny Days camera sticker, One Canoe Two Adventure sticker, Close to My Heart Glacier ink

monkeys...

Today I'm playing along with Sugar Pea Stamps July sketch challenge. I used the sketch loosely with the cloud die cut background representing that rounded corner piece and the photo/embellishment cluster the horizontal strip across the card.

supplies used:  Sugar Pea Design Easily A'Moosed (adventure awaits sentiment on globe, adventure stamped on background), Caring Critters (monkey), Paige Evans cloud cut file and stickers, Maggie Holmes stickers, American Craft Thickers and pattern paper, Scenic Route pattern paper, Gelatos

Snapshots of our life...

One of the things I missed most about not having a computer for months, was not being able to use my Silhouette. I kept seeing so many fun, creative projects and was just itching to back some cut files. Today's layout features a cut file from Paige Evans that you can get for free at the Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group.

I backed the file with papers from Paige's Take Me Away 6 x 6 paper pad and We R Memories Snapshots Page Kit. I also used some of the stickers from American Crafts Paige Evans Sticker Book.

Thank You so much...

Today I'm sharing a card using Clear Scraps and Stampendous goodies! I love the 12 x 12 Blank Acrylic sheets for creating cards with!

I sanded the Chain Border strip so it would pop a bit on the card design. Isn't that butterfly awesome! One of my favorite Stampendous sets!

Celebrate Summer with a Blog Hop...

Hi everyone! To quick off the 4th of July holiday weekend a bunch of us are participating in a Blog Hop! So sit back, relax and check out all the fabulous projects along the hop! See bottom of the post for a complete list of participants, PRIZES, and rules!

When I heard about the hop, I knew I had the perfect stamp set! I used the Aaahsome Fireworks Perfectly Clear Stamp Set from Stampendous. I kept the coloring simple by adding dots of color to the background.

The stars are alot of fun to make! I cut them on the Cricut from cardstock. Next I scored from the point down. Fold in half on the score line. Unfold and repeat with each of the points. To create the 3D effect, you'll fold the points and pinch in at the bases. Sounds confusing but makes more sense once you give it a try. Next I coated the entire thing in Versmark and embossed it with Crystal Embossing Powder by Stampendous. I love this stuff!!! Adds just the perfect amount of glitz to projects without glitter flaking off since its in the powder! I embellished the card with papers by Canvas Corp (blue dotted) and American Crafts (red grid).

Wow love this card and the black tulle sets off all the colors used for the punch...Stampendous job...

How about another peek at one of the new Stampendous Jumbos? For this layout I used the smaller image that comes with the Jumbo Dogwood CRS5011.  I say smaller but that image still measures 3 x 2.25 inches. Perfect size for creating a background fast. You can see how I used it on the bottom panel. I stamped it in grey and then added dots of white with a Sharpie.

American Crafts is having a facebook contest and I created this layout for it. The challenge called for use of 3 AC products. The winner with the most "likes" wins their favorite line and a nice stash of cardstock.  If you would like to vote (or "like" lol) you can find the layout HERE. Thank you!

Supplies Used:

pattern paper: American Craft (Adobe Roosevelt Way, Adobe Lake View Court)
ribbon: American Craft (Letterbox Ribbon  Gracious)
stickers: American Craft (Thickers Vinyl Poolside)
cardstock: American Craft (Neutrals Tones)
stamps: Stampendous (Jumbo Dogwood & Summer Cuties Clear set)

journaling reads: "Summer 2009: What do you do when Dad has a day off? Why take a day trip to Sandy Hook State Park of course! Early in the season and no one on the beach, the kids had so much fun playing football and just running around in the sand."

poor hubby! I don't think he'll be playing football anytime soon with his arm.   For those that asked is he still my best friends after my Frantage Friday frame...yep! But its given us a bit of an idea of how much we're going to drive each other crazy when he retires one day. LOL!

Here is a closeup of the dots on the flowers. I love this technique. Such a simple & easy way to jazz up an already pretty stamp image!
