Stampendous and Faber Castell Week....

I had the chance this week to play along with Stampendous and Faber Castell! Fun stuff! I was excited to try the Gelatos for the first time. Can I just tell you, I'm hooked! There are so many different techniques with them. I am definitely going to have to add some more colors to my stash in the future!

For my card, I pulled out Stampendous Cling Nestled Bird, a favorite image of mine! I stamped it in Archival black ink and used colored it in with Faber Castell Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils. I scribbled a bit of gelatos on my craft mat and picked them up with a waterbrush to add a bit of color to the flowers.

To create the background, I spread Whipped Spackle on white cardstock and allowed it to dry. Next I scribbled on some pink and red gelato along the border and blended it out with water. I colored red gelato directly on a stamp, spritzed it with water and stamped it on the background.

Supplies Used:
Stampendous (Nestled Bird, Hope Verses, Royal Hearts)
Faber Castell (Whipped Spackle, Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils, Gelato)
May Arts
Beacon (FabricTac, Zip Dry)

Be sure to check out all the gorgeous samples from the Stampendous gals...

Sweet card with wonderful coloring! I haven't had much luck using my Gelatos directly on the stamp, but you've inspired me to keep trying!

I love that it looks hand drawn! The best of both worlds: made by hand feel from the "pencil lines & water color painting...like those water-based paint by number, but so much better!!!

Love both the bird and verse stamps. The bird would be easy to change "breed" just by changing colors!
