Lizzie Anne March singles...

Today is the release of the new March singles for Lizzie Anne Designs. :) Its also my last day on the Lizzie Anne Design Team. :( I feel so incredibly thankful to Meridith and Tricia for having me on the team. Its been an incredible two years! But I have thinking about it for awhile, and I'm ready to make some changes. How does that quote from Pollard go... "without change there is no innovation, creativity or incentive for improvement."  I'm sure you'll still be seeing LAD cards from me though. I have a shelf full of lizzie anne stamps just waiting to be inked up again. It will be fun to pull out some of my old favorites and just play. :)

Speaking of older sets, this first sample uses one of my absolute favorite Lizzie Anne sets...Le Jardin . I paired it with the Home Sweet Home sentiment. I should warn you, grey is becoming my new favorite color. :) Its just so pretty paired with bright colors!

stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs (Home Sweet Home, Le Jardin)
coloring medium: Copics

This next card uses the Funky Happy Birthday single and the March single, Ageless. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment repeatedly on the background and embossed it. The little teeny cupcakes under the sentiment were part of the Happy Birthday sentiment. I simply cut them out.

This this next card I paired the Hope single with the birds in the March 2010 mix, Lucky You. The bird image originally had a mama bird with her 3 little ones. I only inked the baby birds when stamping the image.

stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs (Hope, Lucky You)
pattern paper: GCD Designs
grass diecut: Cuttlebug Quilling Dies

Paper Craft Planet Weekly Sketch- sk021911

Its my turn to create the sketch for Paper Craft Planet this week. I kept it pretty simple, just strips of pattern paper, with the only twist being a peek-a-boo bottom of transparency. (Scroll down to see the sketch.) We'd love to have you join us in the PCP challenges! Click on over to the PCP Blog and join in!

For my card I used the sun image from Lizzie Anne Designs new set, Wonderful World. The image is only has a half circle of rays, but I wanted a full sun. Using the stamp positioner, I stamped & embossed it once. When it was cool, I spun the image, lined up the stamp positioner and stamped the sun again so the rays shined also on the other side.

supplies used:
stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs (Wonderful World)
pattern paper: GCD Studios (yellow polka dot), Pebbles (flower strip) and Hambly (transparency)

LAD Design Team Challenge

Its time for another Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge! I always love these challenges because they get me to think outside my little box and try something new. I had no clue how much of a challenge this months was going to be for me. The challenge...CASE a design team member. Sounds easy right? Have you checked out the sketchbook? too many gorgeous samples to choose from!!! I finally narrowed it down to this cutie from Joslyn.

Using the Gypsy I welded two stars together and cut them out on the Cricut. I also cut a smaller star to fit inside. I stamped the skateboard from Tweens and Teens in a light blue. I stamped the skull from the October Mix-Sweet and Spooky in Versamark, embossed it in white and cut it out. I added a bit of stitching with twine to reinforce the hinge part.

Today Lizzie Anne is releasing their monthly singles. I used Number Block to create this card.....

One last card using Lucky In Love. I stamped the flowers in Versamark and embossed them with red and green embossing powders. I highlighted the petals and leaves with a white gel pen. To give it a distressed look, I laid down pieces of drywall mesh and blended Distress Inks in various colors over the piece.

Introducing a fabulous new set  from Lizzie Anne Designs called Tweens and Teens....

Love the little sentiments you can stamp inside the screen on the phones! I stamped a bunch of phones, colored them with copics, cut them out and created a fun pattern with them on the card front. The "call me" sentiment is from the Jan '10 Monthly Mix, From the Heart.

Be sure to hop on over to the Lizzie Anne Blog to check out the rest of the stamps being released today!

It's sneak peek time again at Lizzie Anne Designs! Be sure to stop by the Lizzie Anne Blog to check out the new stamps coming out and also a list of Design Team sneak peek links! 3 days of sneak peeks!

I'm sharing one of the newest Sixlet sets... Wonderful World! I stamped the images, colored them with watercolor pencils and cut them out. Text from an old book and sticker strips from 7gypsies complete the card.

This next sample is one that I did using the Monthly Mix Lucky In Love. I created a pocket on the layout with  pattern paper I created with the heart stamp. Its a great pocket to tuck in valentines from boys for safe keeping.

To create the pattern paper, I stamped the hearts in Archival Ink, colored them with Derwent watercolor pencils and topped them with glitter.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for even more sneak peeks! New stamps go on sale Tuesday!

Lizzie Anne January Design Team Challenge

This month's Lizzie Anne Design Team challenge is to make a card or project that reflects our New Years Resolutions. Ok, confession time! I don't really make resolutions, but I do usually reflect on where I would like to be in the new year and set goals. One of my goals this year is to run the McGuire Mud Run. 6 miles through mud and woods and obstacles.  eeeek. Now that I've shared it for all the world to know the pressure is on to see it through. *

I must have pulled every single Lizzie Anne stamp out that I had looking for something with a running theme. hint hint...we need a jogging Little People stamps Tricia and Meridith. :) I finally found the perfect stamp in the September Treasured Trinkets... a paint splatter aka MUD!

I created the banner with Echo Park stickers and twine. The flourishes on the green strip are from Fanciful Flourishes.

* want to know another confession? I DON'T RUN! But I will by the time fall comes round!

Ringing in the New Year

Happy New Year! Today I'm ringing in the New Year with sneak peeks at Lizzie Anne's January Singles...Love You A Latte and Wise Man's Treasure.

This cup of latte is too cute! I paper pieced the image using Echo Park papers. I glittered up the swirls  and created steam with a few pieces of tulle tucked into the latte.

For this next card I paired the single with the clock in Feb 2010 Mix and the polka dot background in the October 2010 Mix.

Want a chance to win both of January's singles? Lizzie Anne is hosting a challenge for the 12 Days of Christmas celebration taking place on The Daily Dare. Be sure to hop on over and check it out!

its been too long...

I can't believe its almost been two weeks since I've posted last. Yikes!!!  Been the holidays, a sick kiddo, SNOW and a ton of projects I want to get done I've been busy. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

Here are a few Christmas creations I made using Lizzie Anne Designs Monthly Mix, Warmest Wishes....

and also one using Lizzie Anne Designs Monthly Mix, The Key to Happiness...

I was recently catching up on blog reading and gasped when I saw Sunghee's Play-Doh Sleighs. As I scrolled through the photos I was amazed at all the work that went into her creations. Go check them out and prepare to be amazed!!! By now you all know that my youngest is my stamping buddy. Sitting next to me checking out Sunghee's sleighs he had to give them a try. Since I didn't have the dies, he modified it and cut it out by hand. He did everything himself except for the Santa. Proud mom! :)

Adventure is...

December 15th! Besides the fact that theres only 10 more days till Christmas...YIKES...its also time for Lizzie Anne Design Monthly Mix sneak peaks. This months set, Lucky in Love,  is super cute!

For this first card I stamped the candy stamp, colored it with copics and glitzed it up with some Stickles. A bit of tulle wrapped around the stem finishes it off. Gotta love tulle! Its the perfect touch and super cheap to boot!

Love this plane stamp! I stamped it, colored it in and carefully cut it out. Next I stamped the clouds in gray and blue ink.

Here is a closeup of the plane...

Lizzie Anne is going to be making some changes to the Monthly Mix structure so be sure to check out the Lizzie Anne Blog for all the details. And check out what the LAD girls have been up to! Lots of cute samples to check out!

Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge...

Good morning! Busy day here on the blog with a couple of fun posts. First up is this months Design Team Challenge for Lizzie Anne! We were given the challenge....TAGS!

I used a sentiment from the December Mix, Warmest Wishes and created a banner for that sweet little mouse to hold. The mouse is a cut from the Create-A-Critter Cricut cartridge. The papers (American Crafts & Imaginisce) were scraps I literally pulled out of the trash can from other projects I've been working on.

Be sure to hop on over to the Lizzie Anne Design Blog and check out all the adorable tags that the girls have come up with. Just a reminder LAD holiday stamps are still on sale for 30% off. Its not to late to pick up a set or two and create your own holiday tags for your presents.

Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge...

This month Lizzie Anne challenged us to use a wreath project as inspiration to create our own holiday themed wreaths. I ended up using the Stars single to create pattern paper for my wreath. Instead of a hanging wreath I opted to create a layout with photos of my boys from many Christmas's ago.

Here is a closeup of the pattern papers and titlework. Its a bit hard to tell because the white cardstock background washed out the photo but I inked all the circles with black distress ink to make them pop a bit off the page.  Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge was used  for the deer and the title.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to hop on over to the rest of the Lizzie Anne Design Team and leave them some love!

Mixing it up...

Its the 15th of the month so you know what that means, right? Time for Lizzie Anne Designs Monthly Mix ( Warmest Wishes December )sneak peeks! I know I've said it everytime but I'm loving this set! Another fun mix of images and sentiments!

I paired the adorable gnome with the mushrooms from The Great Outdoors. I love that gnome! He's such a cutie!

I colored them in with Copics. note to self: need more colors! I tried to give him a plaid flannel shirt because I don't know why but I thought gnomes would like them. LOL!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Lizzie Anne girls and see the adorable cards they've created!

treat yourself...

I'm dreaming of a clawfoot tub like this one! Who am I kidding, the chance to take a relaxing bubble bath like this without one of the kids knocking at the door pestering me to see if I'm almost done or tattle on the other one seems dreamy enough. :)

This card uses one of the newer stamp sets from Lizzie Anne Designs, In the Powder Room. I paired it with some American Crafts papers. The flowers were made using the Daisy Cuttlebug Quilling Kit.

December is right around the corner so that means the LAD December Monthly Mix sneak peeks are coming up real soon. Be sure to stop back next week to get a peek! I've been inking them up today and they're AWESOME!!!

Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge...

Its time to get into the Holiday Spirit today with Lizzie Anne Designs. This months Design Team Challenge is Holiday Preview and we're all sharing a card and project with past Lizzie Anne Holiday sets. I'm working with Build A Bauble.

supplies used: Lizzie Anne Designs Build A Bauble, Way Up North, Cricut

I created some cute 3D ornaments with the sets. These ornaments are super simple to make and a great craft to make with the kids. Instead of stamped images you could always use pattern paper. I'll show you how in a tutorial below, but here's a peek at the ornaments....

Be sure to stop by the Lizzie Anne Blog and be inspired by all the Holiday Inspiration!!!

Lizzie Anne Hop...

Welcome to the Lizzie Anne Designs Blog Hop! And if you're lucky you may just find a few sneak peeks or two of the new Monthly Mix. :) Before I share my card I have to take a second to share a bit of LAD news! Lizzie Anne is welcoming two new girls to the team...Pam Hornschu and Anya Shrier! Welcome!!!

Ok, onto my card. I used the new mix, The Key to Happiness and also an older holiday set, Build a Bauble. I decided to take a break from the copics and drag out the watercolors for this card. I kept it simple in greys and reds. I added a bit of bling to the ornaments with a few Stampendous Dot Sparklers stickers.

Since I'm in holiday card mode, I thought I'd share a card I made using the LAD single, Tall Snowman. The snowflakes are from Christmas in the City & Build a Bauble. The sentiment is from Deck the Halls. Isn't that snowman just precious?!

Be sure to hop on over to the Lizzie Anne Blog for a list of blog hoppers! Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great Friday!

Paper Craft Planet sketch sk092510

good morning! Hope everyone is having a fabulous fall weekend! I'm wondering if its too soon to pull out the Halloween decorations. How about a Halloween card and a new Paper Craft Planet sketch?

Today's card is one that I created for Lizzie Anne Designs using one of their older Christmas sets called Build a Bauble. Wondering how I used the Christmas set on this Halloween card? I used the ornament with the vertical lines on it. As I was creating cards with the set, I happened to glance over at a few pumpkin diecuts I still had on my desk from another project. hmmmmmm, might work. (wink) I masked off the top stem part and stamped the ornament in dark orange on the pumpkin. It was perfect for creating the lines of the pumpkin. I then went back and added some shading with colored pencils. The inside of the card uses the October mix, Sweet and Spooky. Love those polka dots! :)

Here is a closeup of the pumpkin...

We'd love to have you join us this week at Paper Craft Planet for the sketch challenge. Be sure to tag your creations sk092510 so they can be pulled into this weeks album.

I'll be back later today with more cards and sketch! Its a busy busy day today! :)
