Dear Santa....

Today I'm playing along with this month's Sugar Pea sketch challenge. I love this guy from Sugar Pea's Timber stamp set and think he makes a pretty cute rustic Santa!

Supplies Used: Sugar Pea Stamps Timber, Your Next Stamp Sprinkles Snow Fun, Spectrum Noir markers, vellum

I took a bit of liberty and moved the sentiment banner to the left side instead. Here is the sketch...

Campy Birthday...

I've been trying to play along with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge a bit this month. I took a long break from crafting and designing, so its nice to dip my feet in a bit and get creative again.

Mod Squad Challenge is a stamped background, so I used that as a jumping off point for my card. I masked and stamped all the trees on the cardfront and colored them up to create the forest.

This moose is too cute! My dad used to have a fishing hat just like the one I colored up for Mr Moose.

happy hauntings...

I love those animal skeleton Halloween decorations that are so popular in the stores right now, so I've been playing with some of my stamp sets and converting ordinary animal stamps into Halloween themed skeleton stamps. I'll have a tutorial in an upcoming blog post.

I used Sugar Pea Designs Caring Critters set for the dog today. The "happy" sentiment was also from the same set. The "hauntings" sentiment and the spider are from Stampendous Halloween Haunts stamp set.

I stamped the dog three times, and cut his head and legs out so that I could stack the pieces and give him some depth.

Heartfelt Thanks

I used the sketch and inspiration colors from SPD Mix It Up challenge #35.

I inked the card base with a Dreamweavers stencil. Next I created a shaker card and filled it with sequins, paper dots and beads. Those heart sequins are a oldie but goodie from Doodlebug. Glad to sequins are popular again and I can finally use them up.

You're So Thoughtful...

For today's card, I used a Dreamweaver stencil to create the background. Using post it notes, I masked off the individual squares, inked them up in the different colors in the Sugar Pea Design Challenge  and then splattered it with water to distress.
