another unfinished project done

A few weeks ago I started this card with the hopes of getting it done for one of the RubberNecker stamp color challenges. It sat unfinished on my desk just waiting to be glued together. Obviously I missed that deadline, but when I was blog hopping today I saw Kristina Werner had a new color challenge up for the week using the same colors that I had orginally planned the card in.

I love those shades of teals, greens and browns together. Such a fun color combo. Now if someone could just issue a red, white and blue I might get some more unfinished projects done and wrapped up. ;)

supplies used:
RubberNecker stamps (Scotty)
SEI (tree/butterfly), Around the Block (clouds), IP (background) and Autumn Leaves (leaves) pattern paper
white EP (on butterfly)
lots of stitching

Most of the shapes were sketched out by hand and then machine stitched, until I got to the leaves. I finally realized it would have been easier from the start to stitch the designs on the paper and then cut around the stitching lines. Oh well, live and learn and then do it the easy way the next time. I do love the texture the stitching adds to the card. I have a few more ideas that I want to create for projects using stitching.... after I finish up the rest of the unfinished projects on my desk. LOL!

Have a great day!

Very nice card. I keep wanting to use my sewing machine but don't ever actually pull it out.

I love the stitching you did. You're inspiring me to use my sewing machine more. I've sewed on a few cards, but it was simple straight lines. I can tell you put a lot of work into your card.
