STOP... in the name of love

This week the colors for the Rubbernecker Stamps challenge are red, yellow and green. My first thought was "COOL, I'll do a traffic light". But then I started doing a mental inventory of my Rubbernecker stamps seeing what might work. Hippos....nope, Scotties....nope, boxer shorts...um, nope. Well, maybe but I want to keep it G-rated. ;) Wait the Monica stamp would be perfect if I altered it a bit and used it as a silhouette. In order to create the crossing guard (work with me here and use your imagination a bit, lol) I stamped the figure on the back of a piece of black paper. I then went back and cleaned up the image, penciling in new lines to work for what I needed. I removed the jacket to create more of a silhouette and also removed the purse. This is a fun way to give a new look to old stamps. I started looking at all my stamps again, seeing what else I could create silhouette images with. A lot of the birds and flower stamps would work great for this.

And here is a close up of the "crossing guard" with her stop sign. The stop sign was made by cutting octagons out of white and red cardstock, using a stopsign as a pattern and adding rubons.

supplies used:
Rubbernecker stamp
KI pattern paper
Sakura Quickie glue pen
7gypsies foil
Target foam letters
October Afternoon rubons
EK Success stickers
