But before I share my latest inspiration, here is the card that I mentioned in the previous post that I forgot to post here. It was using the SCS color combo. I used a dingbat as a template to handcut the chicken panels and then just matted them on contrasting colors.
supplies used: Prism cardstock, MSE stamp, ribbon
Now on to a new card. Deb and Julie have a new challenge blog called Y.ou K.now Y.ou R.ock . The first challenge is to pull out that CD that you having playing right now and use it as inspiration.
OK, maybe you didn't really have to pull it out of the player, but I used it as an opportunity to get this Beach Boys CD out of my car. Don't get me wrong I love the Beach Boys, but not when I have to listen to the same song over and over and over again at the request of my youngest. Now I know, someday I'll probably be longing to hear "409" over their teenage song selections, LOL! The good thing is that the Beach Boys have some awesome CD covers. How can you not be inspired by all that color.
I used the colors and the title design as inspiration for this piece. This piece started with a grid that I created for the SCS Monday technique challenge. I scored it, inked the surface with versamark and then EP. I created a template to cut the sentiment out with in Adobe PSE. I created a shape outline and then added my letters to the oval making sure they connected to the edge. Then I simply printed it in mirror image, used it as the template and cut the sentiment out of white cardstock.
supplies used: Inkadinkadoo stamps, Versamark, PSE, white gel pen
Have a terrific Tuesday!
