I'm still here

I'm still here. I promise I didn't fall off the blogger wagon, I just wasn't feeling well all last week. I'm not sure what it was but it was all I could do not to lay down and take a nap by lunchtime. I didn't go in my scraproom at all last week. Eeek! But don't worry I'm making up for that this weekend. (wink) There is an online crop this weekend at CreativeXpress to get the boards "hopping" again and to take our minds off the pending DT announcement. Its not working too well to take my mind of the DT thing, lol! Stop in and join in on the fun. You have until Monday night to upload your projects.

One of the challenges is to use your lastest scrappy supply! Cool because my lastest purchase is my Lizzie Anne Designs Gizmos and Gears set. I reach for this set over and over again when I'm stamping. I stamped the gears (definitely got better with a stamp positioner after this card), chalked the cardfront, and then went back and erased the color out of the gears. I added a bit of white gen pen for highlights.

Another one of the challenges is to dig out your oldest scrap supply. I was thinking I was going to have to paint and ink the dickens out of some of my old pattern paper, but these sheets actually worked ok as they were. This also doubles as my example for my stitching challenge that I'm hosting this weekend at CX. And it also works for the LAD weekly sketch challenge. kinda, I turned the sketch and the two robots represent the two boxes. I'm beginning to realize that I have a really hard time following sketches, lol! I used the same technique with the robots with the chalk. I wanted to give the girlie a diamond ring also, but I couldn't find any bling tiny enough.

I also got some fun news that I won the LAD monthly contest for my Swing High layout. I am so flattered and also pretty excited because I get to buy more stamps. yay! A girl can never have enough stamps. Right? :)
