No, I realize that isn't quite how the poem goes but that was pretty much how the story went in my household today. Welcome spring! Welcome insects! and welcome spiders! Yuck! We found our first spider today in the shower. I am deathly afraid of spiders. The little teeny tiny ones I can handle, but the big ones...they freak me out. I'm always afraid they're going to jump on my hand or something. And we don't even have the really big spiders here. Those HUGE spiders that you all have in the warmer climates.... my skins crawing even thinking it about it right now. ick! So the spider is now gone, I now have a few extra grey hairs and I came up with the sentiment for the card that was sitting on my desk.
I started this card for Kristina Werner's color challenge for this week of brown, orange, yellow and white. The colors just said Halloween to me, so I reached for a pack of SEI Halloween papers and went with it. The spider was cut from one of the sheets of paper. And then it sat on my desk waiting for a sentiment. Do I stamp Boo on it? Or how about Eek? The spider incident today made me think of the poem, perfect sentiment for the card.
