Paper Craft Planet SK040409

Before I get to the sketch, I have to thank everyone for their sweet comments. I was touched reading every one of your comments. I feel really lucky to have found a hobby that I enjoy so much and one that has brought so many incredible peeps into my life. Thanks!!!

Ok, onto the sketch. When I started drawing this up, I envisioned that square grid being a woven panel, using paper or ribbon. I struggled for way longer than I'd like to admit trying to find a way to draw it. Feel free to do anything in that panel though. It doesn't have to be woven unless you'd like it to be. For more information on the how and where to upload your sketch, check out the sketch challenge group at PCP.

Here is my card using the sketch. Do you ever have one of those days nothing really turns out like you envision? When I drew up the sketch, I thought this would be really easy. I knew exactly what I wanted or so I thought, LOL! This isn't exactly what I envisioned but this is what I came up with.

Do you all remember my challenge to my fellow Molly Stamp DT members, with the sun stamp in the Post Office set? Well the next challenge was issued by Russ and it is a doozy. Eyelets! Seriously?! I don't think my eyelets have seen the light of day since I bought them many moons ago. I'm thinking Russ probably wanted me to use the eyelets incorporated with the butterfly stamps, but I smashed them down and glued them on with gluedots on the leaves instead.

supplies used:
stamps: Molly Stamps Wings on Things Big & Wings on Thing Small
pattern paper: Scenic Route
