a PCP sketch with a prize...

This week, we are thrilled to have MyGrafico sponsor our weekly Paper Craft Planet sketch challenge. While you don't have to use any particular stamp sets or products to win the sketch challenge, MyGrafico wanted you to be able to play along. To celebrate National Scrapbook Day, they are offering 40% off all digital downloads until May 3rd! They also have two really great sets that you can download for FREE! (Here are the freebies: Baby Silhouettes and Vases and Flowers.) Plus, if you play along during this week's sketch challenge, you can win the Butterfly Garden set!

Check out this amazing sketch by Melanie Muenchinger!

Want to play along? Create a card using Melanie's sketch and then upload it onto PCP. Use the tag: sk050209 That's all there is to it!

Here is my card using the Butterfly Garden set. Working in Photoshop, I filled in the leaf image with green and copied it multiple times to create the background paper. The sketch calls for a sentiment strip, but my sentiment is on the epoxy flower center. I used the black paper ribbon to create leaves for the flower. This month the girls at Paper Craft Planet are highlighting masculine birthday cards. That was the inspiration behind my color scheme.

To get you excited, the rest of our DT is showcasing the sketch challenge prize set Butterfly Garden. Check out their blogs sometime today to see what they made :)

Adela Rossol , Melanie Muechinger , Lynn Mercurio, Kim Burmeister, Jen Tapler, Tammy Hershberger, Diana Gibbs, Erika Martin, Lori Tecler, Jessica Fick, Sankari Wegman and Susanna Boyd

Be sure to stop by both MyGrafico and Paper Craft Planet to join in on the fun!

AWESOME....totally fantastic Wendy. I wanted so much to play with these images more, but since my motherboard died on my laptop (where my photoshop lived) I didn't have the tools I needed. I love the background paper you created with those great leaf images. I just LOVE your take on the sketch!!!!!

Wendy, your card is AMAZING!! I love the colors and how you made the leaf image into background paper. The circle focal point is perfect too!
