Its my week to host the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Planet! Woo hoo! I created this sketch from a card that I created earlier in the week with spotlight stamping. What is spotlight stamping, you ask? Well scroll down to find out....
In case you've never done spotlight stamping, I'll give you a quick overview. Spotlight stamping is a technique to highlight a section of your stamped image. Stamp the image twice on cardstock. The one image will remain uncolored. The other image you will decide what part of the stamped image you want to highlight and color that in. Cut or punch that out and align it directly above the uncolored stamped image. To give it more of an impact you can also either mat or popdot the colored part. Here's my sample....
Aren't those purses cute? They're another one of the images in the new Lizzie Anne August Monthly Mix. There are ALOT of fun images in that set. You still have until July 31st to sign up to get free shipping on your first kit (international shipping is $5). There are benefits to becoming a Mix member; savings ($25 vs the $40 nonmember price), special newsletter with coupons and more.
Have fun with the sketch! I can't wait to see what you create. Be sure to tag your cards with "sk072509" in the Paper Craft Planet Gallery so I can move them into the correct album. And have a GREAT weekend!!!

Such an awesome design idea, and cute card, Wendy! I still hope to make time to do the sketch, too!
What a cool sketch. And great card with the soft colors for highlighting. I'll have to try to remember to use your sketch this week.
