a DT call to share...

*for info on the DT CALL scroll to the bottom of the post*

I managed to get another card done with Hero Arts sketches for this weeks challenge. I also worked the Color Throwdown colors into it for that too.

The funny thing is this card orginally started as a circular card for a different sketch. I cut my pointed starburst circles from the Home Accents cartridge and put them aside. After cutting out a strip of scallop edging from the Home Accents cartridge and throwing it on my circular cardbase I realized it kinda looked like sunglasses and that pointed circle shape looked like a sun. And so Mr Sunshine came to be and a totally different sketch was used. I cut a circle out of copy paper and used that as a stencil to chalk the center of the sun.

After adding a rubon sentiment to the pink cardstock, I stamped the Paisley and Flowers stamp set in Versamark and clear embossed directly over the rubon. A few bits of bling, a bit of gingham and I called it done. What started as a color combo that looked impossible to tackle, turned into one that I LOVE.

*Kim, my PCP DT gal, mentioned that she is helping to launch the first ever Design Team for a new digi company, DZ Doodles. Seriously CUTE images there. I asked her if it would be ok to pass the info along on my blog, so here it is if anyone is looking for a DT gig....
