Paper Craft Planet Sketch time...

Its time for another sketch over at Paper Craft Planet. The first sketch for 2010 and I'm hosting this week. You may recognize this sketch that I took from my Stampendous Snowman card a few weeks ago. Anyone is welcome to play along. Be sure to tag your cards sk010210 in the Paper Craft Planet gallery so I can pull them into the correct album.

I didn't want to bore you with a card I had already shared with you, so instead I whipped up a variation to the sketch in this tag. I swapped the image and sentiment placement.

To create the faux metal deer for this tag, I used the deer in the Stampendous Birch Buddies clear stamp set. I stamped it on cardstock and cut it out. Next I inked up the back of the paper with Versamark and embossed it in Stampendous Silver EP. I added another coat of Stampendous Crystal EP over the silver to give it a bit of shimmer. I added a red nose with a dot of Stickles. The eye was simply a black dot of paper from a hole punch. I added a highlight with a white gel pen. Super simple technique to get a whole new look out of your stamps.
