Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! The news said we got about 27-29 inches in our area...WOW! Thats alot of snow! We're pretty much dug out and the roads are somewhat clear so I guess we'll be having school tomorrow. I was kinda hoping for an extra day to the weekend. While everyone was outside playing again today in the snow, I had a few minutes to make a card for this week's Compose-A-Card with Becky.
Each week Becky issues a challenge complete with a "recipe", video and musical inspiration. This week's challenge called for 5 score marks 1/4 inch apart. I figured if a few was good, more was better and scored the entire bottom piece. LOL! I also added a gingham ribbon that probably didn't really fall within the guidelines, but gotta love gingham with spring colors!
To create the diecut flowers, I used a flower off of the Cricut Stamping cartridge and laid them out on the Gypsy so that they would have the perfect spacing. I think this is one of my favorite things about the Gypsy! I was always guessing with the sizing on the Cricut, but with the Gypsy I can see on the mat exact sizing and line up scrap paper where the cut will be. Love that!
