STMC10

Can you believe we're up to week 10 for the Stampendous Challenges? I've been having a blast working on them! It was my turn to think up something for this weeks challenge so I made it a sketch with a twist. The twist is you must use stamping to create your background paper. You can find the sketch further down in the post.

I used the fish from SSC1077 Stampendous Clear Stamps to create my background paper. The sentiment is stamped out with Stampendous Retro Alphabet Clear Stamps. And that fish is from the new Cricut cartridge Create a Critter. The fabric strip is an oldie from Maisy Mo.

Originally this card started out as a birthday card for my youngest who's obsessed with fishing.Obsessed! His teacher had mentioned how much he uses fish as the subject of his stories he has to write in class, but I had no clue how much until he started bringing all his end of the year projects home. Out of probably 20 books, 80% of them were about fish. Any extra spending money and he's begging to go to Bass Pro Shop to pick up new worms. LOL! Anyway, eagle eyes spied the card so I switched the sentiment out and made it a fathers day card from him to his dad.

If you play along in the challenge, be sure to post a link to your creation at the Stampendous blog. Two winners each week will be picked to win a fun prize from Stampendous! Hope you'll come join in the challenges!

Love the card and the story that goes with it. My hubby and one of my sons has been on a couple of pro staffs for years. Our garage looks like a Bass Pro Shop!

Wendy, this card is so cute! It would be perfect in our household, since DH likes to fish. Love it!
