Day 2- Mark's Finest Paper Blog Hop

Welcome back for Day 2 of Mark's Finest Papers Blog Hop! I feel in love with todays set the minute I laid eyes on it...Flourished Sea Creatures! A set full of ocean life...LOVE it! You may remember this set from a sneak peek I posted earlier last week of the three seahorses. Here are two more cards using the set...

This card came about from some Distress Ink experimentation. I did the tap the distress inks on a nonstick sheet, spray with water and smoosh through the paint technique. Is there a name for that? Sure would be alot quicker to say, LOL! After it was dry I went in and stamped some sealife onto the tag. White highlights were added with a gel pen. Its very faint but the seahorses are also stamped in watermark ink on the card base.

This next card is for Speedy the Cat's challenge this week...create your own embellishments. I used some green paper ribbon and cut my seaweed from it.

Here is a closeup of that cute turtle in the set...
