Enjoying Life's Pleasures with Design Memory Craft....

Hi everyone! I'm back and today I'm experimenting with Faber Castell Big Brush Markers and fabric. Did you know that you can use them to dye fabric? Its super simple and maybe a bit messy. So pull up your sleeves and lets get started!

Here's the card I made for today's experiment. I used the Big Brush Markers in three ways on this card to color the background over gesso, to dye my fabric strips and to color directly onto the stamps and stamp with them.

Supplies Needed:
Faber- Castell PITT artist pen Big Brush in Light Yellow Glaze &  Pink Madder Lake
Faber- Castell PITT artist pen 125
Stampendous Perfectly Clear stamps Scripty Stems
Stampendous Cling Simple Pleasures
Ranger Archival Ink
gesso
fabric strip
old book

Instructions:
1. Paint gesso over text in old book and allow to dry. Sand down texture a bit.
2. Using the Big Brush pen in Light Yellow Glaze swipe color gessoed book page. Wipe off extra.
3. Color markers directly onto the clear stamp flowers, spritz with water and stamp onto the book page.
4. To create the hand-dyed fabric strips scribble color onto fabric with the Big Brushes. Spritz with water and move fabric around in the inky water on a craft mat. Dry with a heat tool.
5. Tie fabric strip onto cardfront.
6. Stamp sentiment.
7. Add machine stitching.

This is really fun! Great job on a terrific card (but you left the sentiment stamp off the supply list.. hee hee)!
