Make a Wish...

Why...hello there! 'Top of the morning to you! It's time for some  Stampendous fun on this fine Saint Patrick's Day! This month's Stampendous Challenge is SHAPED CARDS!

Its funny how you can start with one idea and when you finish it is nothing like how you planned, lol! Originally I had the idea when scoring Bazzill borders to create a clover. Somehow along the way, the clover was ditched and this cute little Leprechaun was born.

I didn't have any Saint Patricks Day stamps in my stash, so it was time to be a bit creative. (evil giggle) As I was flipping through my stamps, I thought the cutie patootie elf from Snowy Short Stacks might make a good elf. I found a top hat that would work in the Jumbo Snowman set that would be a close fit after a tweaking. After coloring and cutting my images out it was time a bit of Leprechaun lobotomy. ;) I trimmed a bit of the top of the elf's head so it was small enough to fit in the top hat. Next I cut a piece cardstock a bit smaller than the top hat and began gluing down embroidery floss. I adhered it under the hat and adhered his hat to his head.  I was happy with it but my son kept insisting he needed a beard. I trimmed a piece of cardstock the shape of the collar, applied embroidery floss again and glued it down. A few more pieces of embroidery floss and I had a moustache. All that was needed was a wee little haircut.

The clover were created with a heart in the Iguana Love SSC1084 set. I'm not still seeing it available on the Stampendous site, but you may be able to still find it in store. Any heart stamp will work.

The sentiment is from Dandelion Wish SSC1109.

A bit of Champagne Crushed Glass Glitter is scattered in the fields.
