Stampendous Saturday...

Good morning and welcome back for another Stampendous Saturday Challenge! Remember this months theme is recycling! I created this card awhile back for the catalog but it used scraps of metallic thread that were heading to the waste bin. I thought they were a pretty addition to the ribbon.

Supplies Used:
cardstock: Bazzill
markers: Copics
ink: Memento Tsukineko
spray mist: Sheer Shimmer by Tsukineko
ribbon: Creative Impressions & May Arts

Instructions:
1. Stamp images in Memento Ink and cut out.
2. Color with Copics.
3. Spray wings with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Gold.
4. Trim ribbon and scrap piece of metallic thread to 2 inches and adhere to corset body.
5. Age stamped text image with Distress Inks.
6. Outline card with gold gel pen.
7. Adhere stamped images to card with foam adhesive.

Be sure to play along with us in May as we are full of great gifty ideas! Meanwhile, check out what the rest of the team has been up to this week:

You have until Thursday May 3rd at 11:59 PM EST to add your card to Mr Linkey on the Stampendous Blog. Want to know what you're playing for? A Mothers Love Perfectly Clear stamp set! I'm sharing another card today using that same set! (Due to shipping restrictions, the winner must have a US mailing address.)

Here is a card using Mothers Love that I just finished up....

supplies used:
Stampendous Mothers Love Perfectly Clear stamps
pattern paper: Basic Grey Lemonade Collection
flowers: Prima
embossing powder: Stampendous Wild Plum & Crystal EP050
glitter: Stampendous
pearl brad: American Crafts
diecuts: Cuttlebug Quilling Daisy set (leaves), Cricut Graphically Speaking (frame)
other: vellum

ideas to note:
  • After embossing the image in Wild Plum, I coated the entire thing in Versamark and added a layer of Crystal EP. The Crystal EP toned down the color of the Wild Plum and added a gorgeous sparkle.
  • I covered the frame diecut in glitter to give it some sparkle.
  • To create the flower, I smushed (<--technical term, lol) and bunched them up. I added a pearl brad to the center of the lighter one. The leaves were from the Daisy Quilling set. I just tucked them in randomly.

I created this card for the following challenges:
