Image transfer Canvas Note Holder

Hi everyone! Wendy here and today I'm sharing a canvas note holder to hang on the fridge and stay organized with all the kids school activities. This would also be cute for kids to hang in their lockers!

I wanted to keep the canvas texture while using the Quick Quotes star pattern paper. An image transfer is the way to do this. Here's how you do it..

1. Begin by painting Mod Podge all over the canvas. You will want to make sure you have total coverage on the canvas. (note: you can also gel medium if you have it on hand)

2. Next lay the side of the pattern paper you want to see face down on the canvas. In this case, both sides of the pattern paper have stars on it. Press the paper down well. Unlike when you decoupage, DO NOT apply Mod Podge on top of the paper also.

3. Allow the canvas to dry completely. I gave it 24 hrs to make sure it was dry.

4. Spray water on the canvas and when damp, begin rubbing the paper off the canvas. Keep wetting the canvas, as you need and rubbing off the paper. The image from the pattern paper will have transferred to the canvas with the Mod Podge. Be careful around the edges where the paper might not have adhered down completely. You can see in the photo, that I still had a few areas to work the paper away.

I added a few strips of Quick Quotes pattern paper, a chipboard sticker and a post it note pad.

On the back of the canvas, I applied magnets so it can hang on the fridge or locker.
