Christmas Love Bird

I'm excited to be playing along with Catered Crops this week as a guest designer. This week's theme is mini cards!  LOVE mini cards! Want to play along? You have till 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, December 21.

Supplies Used: Clear Scrap (Small Deco Frame), Crafters Companion (Mulberry Wood- A Christmas Gift), Echo Park pattern paper, Tsukineko (Memento ink), Stampendous (glitter), Ranger Alcohol Inks, alcohol markers, colored pencil

I love these sweet birds from Crafters Companion! After coloring with markers, I added a bit of shadow with a black colored pencil. I blended the pencil with baby oil.

I colored the Clear Scrap frame with alcohol inks. I assembled everything on the card with foam adhesive.

The acrylic frames can easily be made into a tag or ornament. Simply trace the Deco Shape onto a piece of cardstock, cut out and adhere to frame with foam adhesive. Punch a hole in the top and add some twine.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

This is absolutely adorable, Wendy! Such sweet little birds and coloured SO beautifully! I LOVE the acrylic decorative frame and the beautiful mottled Alcohol inking. It has been forever since I've used acrylic and alcohol inks and you've totally inspired me to dig through my stash and see what I can come up with.
Glad to have found your blog!
