Stampendous loves Chameleon Pens...

Chameleon™ Art Products is a company determined to change the way you think about marker pens. They pride themselves on having developed real innovation that enhances your ability to maximize your creativity. Their markers bring color control and simplicity to your art, and you can create stunning 3D effects, smooth transitions, highlights, and shading gradations all with one pen.
When you combine this simple coloring versatility with Stampendous® and House-Mouse Designs® images, you can create fantastic projects quickly. Stampendous stamps are beautifully enhanced by the simple blending made possible with this range of innovative markers. The colorless blending tool acts as a “foolproof” finish for your project. You won’t believe the stunning range of colors that can be achieved with these markers, and the array of original projects you can create with the combination of Stampendous and Chameleon.

When I sat down to create this card, I challenged myself to just use the Chameleon markers. That means no Distress Ink backgrounds. ((gasp)) Using the Chameleon markers, I created an alcohol watercolor effect background.

Gather up your favorite Chameleon colors, 91% alcohol, cardstock and a non-stick surface.

Start by scribbling colors with the markers onto your non stick surface. I am working on a piece of plexiglass with paper underneath so you can see the marker colors better. You could also use your craft mat or an acrylic stamp mount.

Next spray alcohol or drip alcohol over the area you just colored. ((note: be sure to work in a well ventilated room. The alcohol fumes are a bit strong and I had quite the headache after creating a few card backgrounds))

Quickly press your cardstock down into the colors. If you want a bit more mixing of colors, pick your non stick surface up after adding the alcohol and move/drip the colors around.

And here is the finished card I used the background on. I colored the images from the set Bouquet for You with the Chameleon markers also.

Supplies Used: Stampendous (Bouquet for You), Chameleon Color Tone Markers, Beacon Zip Dry
