The one nice thing about this horribly hot humid weather is that it means extra time inside avoiding the sun, which means extra stamping. Of course the bad thing is that I have to get all my crafting done early in the day because at night with all the overhead lights on it gets too HOT!
I created this first card with two challenges in mind... Taylors Expressions Cupcake Challenge #25 and also for the OCC challenge of dry embossing. I stamped LAD and Fontwerks flower stamps on white cardstock and then watercolored them using the Crayola washable markers again. The sketch actually called for a box in the center but I took a bit of creative liberty to make it a quote strip with border.
supplies used: Lizzie Anne Design, Fontwerks stamps, Making Memories sticker, Doodlebug frill, Cuttlebug Swiss dot, flower charm, ribbon, Crayola washable markers
This next card is for the Rubbernecker Challenge to use the SCS sketch from this week. I watercolored the image, added some glossy accents and a dew drop, and a bit of chalk to the edges....done.
supplies used: Rubbernecker Harvest Maiden, ribbon, dew drop, glossy accent, chalk
When I started this blog a few months ago, I was really in over my head. This whole blogging thing was new to me. Templates, posting, html code, widgets...none of it made much sense. But over the past few months I've been slowing trying to learn it all. This weekend I figured it was about time to give this blog of mine a bit of a makeover. Obviously I still have alot of work to do. Just can't quite seem to get that header right and now thats its up its just not colorful enough. What do you think? Is this template too wide? I'm slowly trying to add to my blogroll, but should I email and ask permission before adding people? And what exactly is a subscription?!? any suggestions? I have SO much to learn still, but I'll get!

Oh my....both cards are beautiful! Love the fun layout of your first one! Your second card is beautifully coloured! Thanks for playing along with us at the OCC
Hey, Wendy, both these cards are sooooooo terrific!!! Dang, you're talented!
Your blog header looks just great; not too big, not too small.
As far as asking bloggers about posting a link to their blog, all I can say is, I know I really love it when other bloggers link to me! I think it's an honor! I'm sure you don't need to ask anyone for permission to link-up to 'em. Just my .02, lolol!
I wanted to mention that on our Y.ou K.now Y.ou R.ock challenge blog, you had received a vote! Unfortunately, I had to remove the poll and your one vote 'cuz once someone votes, you can't add any more names to the poll. So, I wanted you to know that 'cuz you had a vote that you've lost, I'll replace it with MY vote, okeedokee?!?
And I'll say it again: your entry is da bomb!!

Hey that was my vote! I loved your card. Now I guess I'll go back and vote again.
Your blog looks great to me.
I posted a bit about subscriptions a while back. Here is the post. There are also a few threads about it in the Blogs/Blogging forums at SCS.
I love the contrast of the black behind the circle and the way they overlap the quote strip. Great job!
