3D Tuesday- Pinwheels

Spring is finally here, the flowers are coming up and the birds are singing. This week I'm hosting the 3D Tuesday over at Paper Craft Planet and we're creating an old childhood favorite reminiscent of spring.... pinwheels! Come join us and create one of these simple spring embellishments for your cards, layouts or projects!

Here is my card that I created using a teeny tiny pinwheel. I created the scene using the Just Dandy set from Practicing Creativity Designs. The solid cloud was stamped in white Paint Dabber to act as a resist. After wiping away the extra dye ink I offset the outline clouds a bit. The pole for the pinwheel came from the kite string stamped twice.

Here's an actual pinwheel I created using pattern paper, a tack and a pencil. Super simple craft to make with the kids. Wouldn't they be cute as birthday party decorations?!

Come join us over at Paper Craft Planet! Be sure to tag your pinwheels 3D57 if you upload them to the PCP gallery so I can pull them into the appropriate album.

Fantastic card Wendy. I have to say that pinwheels just make me smile as the memories from my childhood flood back. Such a great spring/summertime image too. Well done my friend.

Wowzers! This is ANOTHER fantastic card with You're Dandy. I love the pinwheel idea. When I was in Design School at college, screen printing our own pinwheels was an actual assignment, and it was TONS of fun! You should have seen our room with all these pinwheels about.
