Stampendous and PCP challenge

Welcome back! Looking for some challenges to get you stamping this weekend? I'm excited to be hosting both the Stampendous Challenge and the Paper Craft Planet Challenge this weekend! Both challenges have prizes generously donated by Stampendous! Woo hoo!!! And yes, you can combine both challenges for extra chances to win some great loot from Stampendous!

Stampendous Weekly Challenge
This week instead of a sketch we're mixing it up a bit and playing with a new technique...MASKING. Masking is a fairly simple technique that adds so much depth to your stamped images. I have a tutorial at the bottom of the post with step by step directions for masking. Be sure to hop on over to the Stampendous Blog for all the details/rules. There will be two lucky winners!

Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge
We have a prize this week for the PCP sketch!!! Stampendous is donating a stampy prize to one lucky winner of the PCP sketch! (US residents only) Be sure to tag your projects with the tag "sk050810" when you upload to the PCP gallery. This way I'll be able to pull the photos into the correct album. Here is the sketch...

What is masking? Masking is a way of stamping your images so one appears to rest in front of the other.

1. Stamp your image you want in the front
2. Next stamp that same image on a post it note or any paper with a low tack adhesive on it. Cut out the stamped image and place it directly above the image you wish to mask.
3. Ink up your stamp that you want to appear behind the image and stamp directly over the first image.
4. Pull off the mask to reveal your layered stamped images!
I hope you'll join us at both Stampendous and Paper Craft Planet this week!
