I can finally spill the beans! Do you remember a few months back when I applied for the Clearsnap DT call? No, I didn't make the team, but I'm super excited to be joining them this month as a Guest Designer for August!

I've been having fun playing around and creating watercolor effects with their Colorbox Petal Point Pigment Inks. Yes, you read that right...pigment inks. I normally think dye inks when going for a watercolor effect, but when you ink your stamp with the Petal Points, give a few spritzes with water, the inks will swirl together and create a gorgeous watercolor effect. The tile effect in the background was created in this way.  You can also stamp the ink on a craft mat, spritz it with water to water it down and paint with it the same way you would dye inks. The flower was colored in with this technique.

Supplies Used:

  1. Ink small square stamp with various Petal Inks. Spritz with water and stamp on watercolor paper. Continue doing this to create a tile mosaic effect.
  2. Stamp daisy image in Truffle Mix'd Media Inx and emboss with clear embossing powder.
  3. Press  Citrine, Lemon Grass, Mango Tango, Picante Inks onto nonstick craft mat or acrylic block. Spritz with water.
  4. Color image with watered down inks.
  5. Cut out daisy image and adhere to card with foam adhesive.
  6. Stamp sentiment in Truffle Mix'd Media Inx. Cut out and adhere to cardfront.
