3D stars...

No new cards to share from today so instead I'm sharing a card from SOA that never made it onto my blog yet. The SOA event is over for this year and I just took down my widget, but did you see that SOA was able to raise well over $6000 for the Alzheimers Association! Wow! Thank you to everyone that came out and helped!

To make the stars:
1. Stamp the star image from Molly Stamps Out of This World on cardstock.
2.Next cut out the star images.
3.Score from the tip of each point to the angle opposite the point. You will be making 5 score marks.
4.Carefully take the star and smush each of the tips, creating peaks and valleys and a 3D effect.
5. Adhere to card with pop dots to keep it 3D.

supplies used:
stamps: Molly Stamps (Out of This World)
pattern paper: Making Memories

a weekend sketch...

With only a few days left of Stampin Out Alzheimers I'm finally finding some time to play along with a few challenges. I had planned (ok, more like dreamed) of stamping all week long, but end of the year school activites put an end to that dream. Only 15 more days of school to go. woo hoo!!! On to the card....todays card uses this weeks Paper Craft Planet sketch by Lori. It was for a SOA challenge to have a winged creature on it. I used Molly Stamps (Wings on Things small) dragonfly for the winged creature.

its time for Stampin' Out Alzheimers...

The board is live and the challenges are up! There are lots of great of challenges to try tons of prizes from very generous sponsers and even some freebies just for Stampin' Out Alzheimers participants. Its not to late if you still want to join. 100% of the money raised will go to the Alzheimers Association and helping to find a cure for this horrible disease.

I'm heading up a challenge sponsered by Molly Stamps over at SOA this week. Since it was the quirky stamps and funnyman Russ (aka Molly McGann) that drew me to Molly Stamps I thought it was only appropiate that this challenge be based on humor. Life isn't always perfect, but its those not so perfect moments that I love to look back on and laugh at. So if you're joining us at Stampin Out Alzheimers this week I'd love for you to play along. Be sure to tag your layout lovetolaugh so I can pull the layouts into the proper album.

I used five of the Molly Stamps (Today's Forecast) faces, lined them up on a 5 inch block and stamped the background in Versamark, shifting the images 1 face to the right as I went.

Stampin' Out Alzheimer's

I have no cards to share with you today. Instead I want to invite you to join me in finding a cure for Alzheimer's. My fellow Paper Craft Planet Design Team Members Susanna Boyd and Jen Tapler have teamed up to create a special, short-term community where challenges, tutorials, free kits and more will be offered by over 30 generous sponsors to help our efforts to raise money for Alzheimer's disease research. Here's a link to a video clip by Susanna Boyd ... Stampin' Out Alzheimer's.

You may have noticed the SOA widget that I have on the left hand side of my blog. For as little as $5 donation, you will gain access to the Stampin' Out Alzheimers website next week. Please join as in the fight to find a cure to Alzheimer's.
