Ready for some more Stampendous JUMBO cling sneak peeks? This next project was a fun one! I used the Jumbo Peony Set CRS5001 to stamp the flower on the box in light brown ink. Next I went over the stamped image with my wood burning tool burning in the outline of stamp. Because I used light ink, I don't have to be exact with my lines. Once you go in with shadowing and paints you won't notice if your lines are off a bit. I colored the image with Derwent Watercolor pencils. After it was dry I stained the box with an antiquing glaze. Normally watercolors will muddy if you put another liquid layer on top of them, but the Derwent Inktense are permanent after they dry. The final touch was to go in and add dots of white acrylic paint to the image.

Have you seen the latest video from Stampendous? Check it out as Tammy Wilson shows how to use the JUMBO Peony Cling to create a gorgeous stamped box.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow because I have still more JUMBO stamp samples to share. :)

Introducing a fabulous new set  from Lizzie Anne Designs called Tweens and Teens....

Love the little sentiments you can stamp inside the screen on the phones! I stamped a bunch of phones, colored them with copics, cut them out and created a fun pattern with them on the card front. The "call me" sentiment is from the Jan '10 Monthly Mix, From the Heart.

Be sure to hop on over to the Lizzie Anne Blog to check out the rest of the stamps being released today!

___________________________________________________________________________________

It's sneak peek time again at Lizzie Anne Designs! Be sure to stop by the Lizzie Anne Blog to check out the new stamps coming out and also a list of Design Team sneak peek links! 3 days of sneak peeks!

I'm sharing one of the newest Sixlet sets... Wonderful World! I stamped the images, colored them with watercolor pencils and cut them out. Text from an old book and sticker strips from 7gypsies complete the card.

This next sample is one that I did using the Monthly Mix Lucky In Love. I created a pocket on the layout with  pattern paper I created with the heart stamp. Its a great pocket to tuck in valentines from boys for safe keeping.

To create the pattern paper, I stamped the hearts in Archival Ink, colored them with Derwent watercolor pencils and topped them with glitter.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for even more sneak peeks! New stamps go on sale Tuesday!

Stampendous JUMBO Blog Hop

Woo Hoo! Its time for the Stampendous Blog Hop and also time to reveal the BIG secret that we've been keeping! We've been hinting all week about a HUGE surprise from  Stampendous that is going to be a BIG success. Any guesses yet? Thats right....we're going JUMBO!!! Stampendous is releasing JUMBO Cling Rubber Stamps!

To give you an idea on the size of these stamps, this layout is 12 x 12 inches. These are PERFECT for creating backgrounds and embellishments on layouts! The flowers are from a set called Cling Jumbo Hydrangea Set CRS5005. These flowers measure approximately 7 inches from top to bottom of the stem. Thats huge! No, thats JUMBO! The circle design that I've tucked behind the title is from a set called Cling Jumbo Thinking of You CRS5002.

love, love, LOVE that flower! I stamped it multiple times on white cardstock and colored it with Derwent Inkense Watercolor Pencils. I cut out the flowers and layered them up with pop dots. A bit of glitter finishes off the flowers!

This next card shows just how simple a card can be to create thanks to the JUMBO size of these stamps. I used the Cling Jumbo Dahlia Set CRS5007. I just pulled out a ruler to measure the flower...almost 5 inches round! Sweet! I stamped the flower in Versamark, embossed in Stampendous Clear Embossing Powder and then added a bit of color with the watercolor pencils.

Here is another sample I made using the Cling Jumbo Dahlia Set CRS5007. These stamps are perfect for personalizing a blank gift bag with! I stamped the image in Stazon on the front of the bag and then I went in and colored the reverse side of the flowers with Copics.

The sentiment is from the new set called Cling Jumbo Happy Birthday Set CRS5009.

While I was playing with gift bags, I came across one in my stash that was too wrinkled to upcycle. Not wanting to throw away that cool plastic, I came up with these window decorations. I stamped the Jumbo Dahlia in Stazon on the plastic material, cut it out and colored the back with Copics. Wishing I had a little girls room to decorate because I can totally visualize creating a bunch of these and hanging them from the windows/ceilings. Since they're clear they can twist and spin in the breeze without seeing an unsightly back.

You might be thinking...but I don't have a stamp mount big enough for these, don't worry Stampendous is also releasing a new stamp mount that is approximately 5 x 7 inches big! I use this alot, for not just the JUMBO clings, but also for some of the new clear flower sets like Narcissus and Daisy Thanks. love it!

In case you didn't start at the Stampendous Blog, be sure to hop on over there and follow the links to all the participating Design Team members! Lots of fabulous samples to see! You have until Tuesday, Feb 2nd to leave a comment on all the blogs to be in the running to win some of these fabulous new stamps! Now what are you waiting for ...get hopping and commenting! :)

and still more Stampendous sneak peeks...

Only a few more hours till Stampendous Blog Hop tomorrow! woo hoo! But until then, how about a few more sneak peeks at some stamps from the new catalog!

This first card uses a new set called Garden Beauty. I embossed the image and then colored it in with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. Love that sweet birdie on the flowerpot!

For this next card I used the set Agapanthus Thank You. I embossed the image repeatedly in white embossing powder. After tying a simple knot in the Creative Impressions ribbon I stamped the "thank you" sentiment on it.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the Blog Hop!

more Stampendous Sneak Peeks....

Super quick post tonight because I after am beat after digging out from this last snow storm. Talk about a workout!

Ready for two more sneak peeks of the new Stampendous stamps? I am so excited for these next stamps! I literally gasped when I saw the images for the first time!

Introducing Shell Background, Shell Trio and Joy of Journey....

I stamped the Shell Background cling in Versamark and embossed it with white EP. The Shell Trio has 3 shells with a design running behind them, but I cut the stamped shells out to use as embellishments on my layout.

This next card uses the Shell Background cling and is colored with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. I added a bit of glitter to the shells. LOVE this collage of shells just as it is, so I decided to keep the design of the card simple to highlight that great image!

Stop back tomorrow for more sneak peeks! And don't forget... Saturday we're having another blog hop at Stampendous. We have a HUGE surprise release! Join us Saturday, Jan 29th at 10 AM PST for the start of the blog!

Stampendous Sneak peeks

Got the go ahead to start posting sneak peeks all week of the new Stampendous stamps that will be coming out soon! Be sure to join us Saturday because we're having another Stampendous Blog Hop to kick off a new exciting product that Stampendous is debuting at CHA. SUPER exciting!

The cards I'm sharing today use a new clear set that will be available for sale soon called Summer Cuties. Isn't she cute? Love the mixed fonts in the sentiment. I created the flag by rolling the banner around a bamboo skewer.

supplies: Stampendous (Summer Cuties), American Crafts pattern paper, Copics

This has to be my all time favorite way of coloring backgrounds right now with Copics. Lots and lots of dots in a few colors...easy peasy!

Its midterm week here so I'm off to go study with my son. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for more sneak peeks! :)

Mom Love with In Style Stamps

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card and a video that I made for In Style Stamps using their adorable new image... Mom Love. Isn't she a cutie pie!

Have I mentioned I have a slight tulle addiction? Love that stuff! Perfect way to add a bit of texture to cards without adding too much weight.

My DH surprised me with an ipod for Christmas. Aside from spending way to much time trying to defeat Angry Birds, I've also been trying to figure out the video feature. I've been wanting to try my hand at tutorials for awhile now but wasn't even sure how to begin.  I have a lot to learn but here is my first video. Don't mind the camera shake (do they make tripods for ipods?) and graininess. I found an app for editting videos so will have to try another video soon. :)

Anyone have any great app recommendations?  Have a great one!

Lizzie Anne January Design Team Challenge

This month's Lizzie Anne Design Team challenge is to make a card or project that reflects our New Years Resolutions. Ok, confession time! I don't really make resolutions, but I do usually reflect on where I would like to be in the new year and set goals. One of my goals this year is to run the McGuire Mud Run. 6 miles through mud and woods and obstacles.  eeeek. Now that I've shared it for all the world to know the pressure is on to see it through. *

I must have pulled every single Lizzie Anne stamp out that I had looking for something with a running theme. hint hint...we need a jogging Little People stamps Tricia and Meridith. :) I finally found the perfect stamp in the September Treasured Trinkets... a paint splatter aka MUD!

I created the banner with Echo Park stickers and twine. The flourishes on the green strip are from Fanciful Flourishes.

* want to know another confession? I DON'T RUN! But I will by the time fall comes round!

Ringing in the New Year

Happy New Year! Today I'm ringing in the New Year with sneak peeks at Lizzie Anne's January Singles...Love You A Latte and Wise Man's Treasure.

This cup of latte is too cute! I paper pieced the image using Echo Park papers. I glittered up the swirls  and created steam with a few pieces of tulle tucked into the latte.

For this next card I paired the single with the clock in Feb 2010 Mix and the polka dot background in the October 2010 Mix.

Want a chance to win both of January's singles? Lizzie Anne is hosting a challenge for the 12 Days of Christmas celebration taking place on The Daily Dare. Be sure to hop on over and check it out!
